But, published work on the quality and shelf
life of either captured or cultured cobia fish under chilled storage is
limited. And, there are no reports available on the use of dual
functional active packaging system combining both oxygen scavenger
and antimicrobial film for extending the shelf life of chilled
stored fish. Considering the above facts, the present work was
carried out to evaluate the efficiency of active packaging systems
alone or in combination to extend the shelf life of cobia fish steaks
stored under refrigeration
