Prime Minsiter Sushil Koirala urged all not to stage protests and seek solution through dialogues.
Responding to a delegation of 12 student unions at his residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday afternoon, Koirala said that demonstrations do not help constitution writing.
“Disparities surfaced during the constitution writing will be settled through dialogue,” said PM hinting toward opposition parties including the UCPN-Maoist, “So, why would you stage protests?”
He said the proposal of Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML and other parties registered in the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC) of the Constituent Assembly is not final, but can be amended through discussions.
Student unions affiliated to political parties, including Nepal Students Union and All Nepal National Free Students Union had submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister seeking new constitution at the slated time, reduction of transportation fare and measures to reduce road accidents, among others.
