Upon our visit to OTOP the Gallery, we could see two main entrances – one leading to the main store and one leading to the connecting coffee shop selling drinks at a cheap price with seating both indoors and outdoors. The items within the main shop come from 5 main regions in Thailand, namely the North, Northeast (otherwise known as Isaan), Central, East and South. However, there are no clear signs separating which item is from where so the best thing to do here is to either ask the shop keepers or just enjoy browsing through all the items on sale.
For some prior guidance, however, if you see silk or cotton clothing such as work clothes or clothes designed for weddings and festivals made of Lai Khid or Phrae Wa silk, then it’s most likely to be from the Northeast.
