A solution of bis(o-formylphenyl)selenide (0.140 g, 0.48 mmol) in 150 mL acetonitrile was added dropwise to a solution of bis(2-aminoethyl)sulfane (0.058 g, 0.48 mmol) in 100 mL acetonitrile under stirring, over a period of 2 h. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight and then the formed precipitate was filtered off, washed with acetonitrile and recrystallized from a mixture of dichloromethane and acetonitrile (1:3).
