my own belief is that throughout the region , the whole region we will move towards greater democratization , but the pace and the continuity and the smoothness of this path will differ. Ever in countries that we don't see as politically unstable , as in the case of Singapore, eventually, the system will open up to a more truly multi-party system than it currently is. and we see one-party system being challenged in Malaysia, in Cambodia recent years , and of course, you mentioned the case of Burma making progress back to democracy. but i think the case where there have been progress in recent decades have been the Philippines and Indonesia. i think in both cases it was the successful overthrowing of corrupt regimes that opened the way to democratic progress.
