A similar pattern was observed for non-affective psychosis (including schizophrenia), but the magnitude of the association was somewhat greater and the confidence intervals narrower. These analyses provided statistical evidence that this association was unlikely due to chance effects (unadjusted HR 1.33, 95% CI 1.10–1.61; partially adjusted HR 1.33, 95% CI 1.09–1.61; fully adjusted HR 1.22, 95% CI, 1.00–1.48)
