In this work, we studied TL of dysprosium and europium sulfate
crystallohydrates with crystallized H2O and D2O during argon
purging. The expected OH and OD radicals were revealed in the
UV region of TL spectrum (Fig. 6). A considerable increase in
luminescence intensity of OD radicals compared with OH one
was observable, as it was revealed previously [13,22]. The bands
of OH and OD radicals in TL spectra of crystallized lanthanide salts
support the proposition that water destruction occurs at the degradation
of crystallohydrates.
