Track 1 (Prologue): Masaki's hired some security people to change the locks on their house after the break-in incident with their father. Naoto muses over how his father can spend so much money on his mistress's sister and not care about his own children. He also wonders why their father hates them so much. (I wonder if this will actually have some impact on the story instead of just being an off-hand mention? I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that Masaki is often mentioned as having a foreigner's eyes/hair colour? I mean, it could just be an asthetics thing just for the sake of making Masaki seem more attractive, but for all I know it could be a hint... maybe something trashy like the mom had an affair or something. Though I hope not. ^_^;;) Naoto then has a monologue at the end of the track which sounds rather heartbreaking to me. i_i While he seems positive, and says that after Masaki completely rejected their father (he "disowned" the dad and told him to never come around them ever again), they should take the chance to make it a new start, and that he (Naoto) should look forward to tomorrow, but yet it just seems so sad to me because it's tinged with all the irreversible things that have happened - most especially his continuing taboo relationship with Masaki. Not to mention that since this is an angsty BL story, Naoto's life is just going to get more screwed up. ^_^;;
Track 2: A guy named Masaki Ryoji comes up to Sayaka and tries to interview her about the recent incidents involving her family. After her friends help her chase him away, an upset Sayaka thinks to herself that it's unfair that Naoto has Masaki to protect her, while she has nothing. (Oh, Sayaka, as much as I want to like you since you're a rare female character in a BL story, you are getting SO DISLIKABLE. Especially since I HATE characters who always blame others for their own misfortune and never bother to do anything to try to change their own situation. While I don't entirely blame you from wanting to escape from your family, since I think it's a reasonable response to your discovery, DON'T YOU DARE martyr yourself and begrudge Naoto what little comfort he has especially considering the crap he's been through.)
Track 3: Naoto is approached by a teacher (apparently the head of his level) to go to the principal's office. His friends think it's weird since it's an important enough matter that the head of the level asks him instead of the head teacher of his class. After Naoto leaves, they discuss how Naoto is the type who will care about others at the expense of himself. They go on to talk about he situation of the other guys who were involved in the attacks, with the third year having to take a break from school due to his injuries and the first year having PTSD. They say how Naoto is strong (since he seems to have mostly recovered from the attacks) and that the best thing for them would be to watch over him from the side. (Naoto has really nice friends. I like Nakano. ^_^)
Track 4: In the principal's office, Naoto meets Nogami's mom. Nogami is the first year who developed PSTD and who refuses to step out of the house to the point that even the psychiatrist he's seeing has to go to his house. The mom wants to ask how Naoto overcame his experience. The principal lets slip that even though Nogami's mom had asked him previously he refused to let them meet since naoto hadn't fully recovered... especially because Masaki had called the school to ask them to take care of him. (Of course masaki hadn't mentioned this to Naoto) Naoto thinks to himself that he doesn't want to talk abut the event since it'll make him recall it. Nogami's mom is seeking advice, but Naoto thinks to himself that only reason why he wanted to come to school was because he didn't want to stay at home all day and school was the only place where he can feel like a normal high school student. He wanted some space from Yuuta and Masaki. But he also thinks that he was also really happy when he found out Masaki wasn't only using him as an object of lust but also really needed him. (Masaki: "I love you, Nao. I love you, Nao, so I want to let your body and your heart become mine. As long as you're by my side, I can do my best [lit. work hard], so...... let me feel that you belong to me.") In any case, he thinks his advice to Nogami won't be of any help. Naoto tells the mom that if the people by the sidelines try too hard, it actually puts more pressure on a person. He's heard that the third year was hurt so badly that he may not be able to come to school for awhile, and while he and Nogami weren't hurt as badly, it also means that people may think that they were "lucky" to get off so lightly when in actual fact the unchageable fact is that they've gone through a traumatising experience and are still hurt deeper than most people can imagine. He says that words that aren't meant unkindly can still have the effect of hurting the person it's meant to cheer up. Nogami's mom completely misses the point and keeps harping on the fact that Naoto managed to recover. (Naoto: "But I am me, and Nogami is Nogami.") He thinks that no matter what outsiders do, as long as the victim himself refuses to face his hurt, it's no use. He tells her he goes to school because it helps him not to think of uncecessary thing, and she asks insensitively, "Even if people look at you oddly?" The she goes on to wail about why even though both boys suffered the same thing, only Naoto came out of it fine. She wants to know why he's different. And ironically, there's an implication that she thinks he's "lucky" to come out of the experience fine. Again Naoto emphasises that they're different people and there's no use comparing and thinks secretly to himself that her overworrying is probably what makes Nogami's condition worse. As he leaves the mom screeches for any bit of help he can give and being the nice guy he is, Naoto says he'll think about it.
(GOD, I HATE NOGAMI'S MOTHER!!!!!!! She is SUCH an insensitive bitch! My annoyance with Sayaka previously can not match up to how much I HATE Nogami's mother for being so selfish and not actually caring whether or not she hurts Naoto with her insensitive words. >_
