Floral colour signals differed significantly between bird- and insect-pollinated flowers in a sample of the Australian flora, and
the flowers within each pollination category had spectral reflectance characteristics that that are clustered at wavelengths that would maximize their distinctiveness to the visual systems of their respective pollinators.
