The frog is an amphibian. Any kind of animal that lives both on land and in water is called an amphibian. There are frog everywhere in Thailand. we generally find them in the rainy season. The frog begins its life in an egg in water. When it leaves the egg, it is called a tadpole. It looks like a round black head with a tail, but it has on legs. The tadpole swims about the pond. When the tadpole grows bigger, it gets two hind legs, and then two front legs. The hind legs are longer and bigger then the front legs. Later, the tadpole loses its tail. soon after this, it comes out of the water and hops about on the bank. It is now a tiny, baby frog. As you see, the frog spends the first part of its life in the water. But a full-grown frog lives both on land and in water.
