The MeOH extract of leaves of G. elegans was suspended in HO,
and partitioned with CHCl3
and n-BuOH successively. The CHCl
and n-BuOH fractions were subjected to silica gel and Sephadex
LH-20 column chromatography, respectively, to afford eight iridoids
geleganoids A–F (1–3, 6–8) and geleganosides A, B (4, 5), along
with GRIR-1
