As in yogic philosophy, one who is a jīvanmukta(enlightened one while alive) knows that people seethe everyday world as being only different things, but at the same time that there is only Brahman underlying it all.•Likewise parallel to yoga philosophy, the challenge for the individual jīva is to return to a state of unity with a primordial Brahman (like Puruśa).•In this sense, there is nothing new to be discovered. A spiritual life only entails a return to what has always been there.
