Tomato is an important and widely consumed vegetable in the
world. In order to get a high production yield, the use of pesticides is a conventional
agricultural practice. Carbamates, a class of alternatives to organochlorine and organophosphorous
pesticides, are broadly used in tomatoes against insects and fungi owing to their broad
biological activity, low bioaccumulation potentials, low
mammalian toxicities and relatively short lifespan [1].
