DNA biosensors for the detection of arbuscular mycorrhizae
For the taxonomic classification of arbuscular mycorrhizae in general, the identification and classification of arbuscular mycorrhizae at roots as well as the detection of phytopathogenic viruses and bacteria at potatoes and different kinds of collard biosensors have been developed based DNA-DNA/DNA-RNA hybridisations and antibody-antigen interaction. The assays are available in microtiterplate format and on the basis of a microchip, a surface plasmon resonance technique (SPR) platform which was established in collaboration with the Institut für Werkstoff- und Strahltechnik (IWS)/Dresden. The microtiterplate assay has already been validated for the detection of arbuscular mycorrhizae at roots of trees at extreme locations.
