COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY IN NETWORK
The computer system is composed of the hardware and software, in which the two parts are independent. It is clear that the computer hardware is considerably important and plays an important role in the design or application of computer system. Many exciting applications of information technology in colleges validate that new technology-based models of teaching and learning have the power to dramatically improve educational outcomes. With the social information development to deep extension, the requirements for personnel with high-level ability in computer application are becoming more intensively. In order to be adapted to the society, it is necessary for universities or colleges to train students to master theoretical knowledge and practicable ability in computer science. The Computer Hardware is one of the curriculums for students who are engaged in research and technical development in computer science, and its aim is to cultivate the students to solve the practical problems in their professional areas or relative fields with knowledge application to Computer Hardware, and to cultivate the students to be high-qualified personnel for the nation with high ability in practical problems solution, scientific research and development and renovation. With the intensification in education reform, the intensification and optimization in teaching of Computer Hardware in computer science and technical specification for universities or colleges are considerably emphasized. The existed results show that students with solid knowledge in Computer Hardware and excellent ability in practical problem solution have great superiority in peers and they are more acceptable against the students with lower qualities. Computer knowledge and applications are the indispensable parts of undergraduates' knowledge structure, and the level of computer applications in various fields depends on the common level of computer education for all college students. Computer education will make students get advanced information technology, and will be helpful to cultivate the students' quality, to stimulate them to learn advanced science and technology, to inspire their consciousness of innovation, to raise their awareness of learning new knowledge, and to train students' ability of self-study, etc. Basic level computer education is mainly for college students who does not do major in computer. From 1980s, basic level computer education in colleges has passed through three stages: starting stage in 1980s, basic level computer education had been set up in colleges; standardized stage in 1990s, national Ministry of Education and local education services began to pay a great attention on this computer education and set up basic level computer education committee. At the same time, they pointed out there are three aspects in the teaching model. In the 21centry, computer education is moving to another higher stage, basic level computer education is facing new challenges: continuous development of social information, all trade's computer application. The computer networks will have an equally powerful impact on collaborative educational activities as shown in Fig. 1. The technological and organizational infrastructure that enables creation, storage, communication and use of information in electronic form is evolving rapidly within and among neighborhoods, communities, institutions, households and individuals. It is also changing the very concept of “community,” with information repositories, online events, virtual work groups and electronic communications redefining communities' temporal and geographic boundaries. These changes, in turn, are generating changes in the roles and responsibilities of traditional institutions for providing educational opportunities for college students.
