Here groundnut seedlings were incubated in Hoagland’s solution amended with AFB1 for three and seven days. At 3rd day of incubation, higher level of AFB1 accumulated in the roots, but was
comparatively less in shoots. As the incubation period progress
from the 3rd day to 7th aflatoxin level was decreased significantly
(P 6 0.05) in roots in all concentration os aflatoxin given. Concurrently, the level of aflatoxin was increased significantly (P 6 0.05)
in shoots (Fig. 1). In case of controls both root and shoot was found
free from AFB1.
