keeping away from nifaq
definition of nifaq
nifaq is difference between words and actions. linguistically, the word nifaq comes from the root of the word' nafaqul yarbu' which means mouse hole. a mouse usually can be seen entering its hole but never getting out of it. thus the meaning of nifaq is to make one thing apparent while keeping another hidden.
nifaq as a term refers to ' making apparent what is suitable to the truth and hiding what is opposed to it.' because of this, whoever shows off something that is truthful in public whereas his heart is not sincere, such a person is called a munafiq. that kind of belief or practice is called nifaq.
