Conceptual Exploration
This is where the real design begins. Now that we have a defined direction and are well educated in the product’s context, it’s time to put pen to paper.
Taking into consideration both the design brief and the relevant research, a batch of concepts is produced. These concepts are each a three dimensional representation of the original idea. Each will have points of difference, explore different directions, whilst still staying within the boundaries of the original constraints outlined in design brief.
Some of these points of differences may include using different production processes, exploring different aesthetics, and implementing cost saving details or incorporating different modes of functionality.
Using the latest computer generated image technology, these concepts are visualised for discussion. This is an integral part of the process to ensure that all options are properly explored and future design decisions are well informed.
