Course Principle
Recurrent Training is required regulatory provisions to be performed each twelve-month
period following completion of initial training or previous recurrent training and is required for
those crew members who has been absent from all flying duties for more than 3 months but
not exceeding 12 months. The training course and Instructors must be approved by the DCA.
Flight Attendant Trainees are required to complete a recurrent training program which consists
of;
• Theoretical ground training, drills and examination session with a minimum of 24
hours.
Regulatory Requirements
• The DCA announcement titled ‘Cabin Crew Training Programs’ dated 5 July B.E. 2551
state that:
“The required training hours of a recurrent training course shall be at least 24 hours.”
• The IOSA Standards Manual, 7nd edition, revision 5 effective 1 September 2013 :
Section ‘Training and Qualification’ CAB 2.1.3 [PA] states that:
“The Operator shall ensure all cabin crew members complete an recurrent training
course once every 12 months in order to remain qualified to perform duties as a cabin
crew member.”
Course Objectives
1) To comply with Orient Thai Airlines’ Flight Attendant training policies, DCA regulations
and IOSA recommended practices.
2) To ensure that each trainee acquires the knowledge necessary to fulfill the
responsibilities and duties assigned to Flight Attendants in the interest of safety.
