The proliferation and popularity of social media is the business justification for this research, since it aims to provide an assessment of the opportunities for every business in Thailand to increase its sales by engaging with consumers via social media. Therefore, the results of this research could indicate new avenues to sellers, marketers or those with business interests via the opportunities for growth offered by social media. The change in the way in which Thai consumers use social media demonstrates that opportunities are available for all commercial firms, both domestic and international in this global business environment. More and more Thai consumers are using social media to search for products, services and brand information, read reviews and comments, and share their experience of products, services and brands. Therefore, any company can benefit from the results of this research and develop its marketing strategy to attract Thai consumers.
