Compared with subjects with normal
weight, those who were overweight or obese were more
likely to be prehypertensive (overweight, OR=1.573; obese,
OR=3.47) (Table 5, Fig. 1). In addition, subjects with total
cholesterol concentration of ≧240 mg/dl (OR=1.754) and
between 200 and 239 mg/dl (OR=1.347) had greater risk of
being prehypertensive compared with those with total
cholesterol level b200 mg/dl (Table 5, Fig. 1).
