• Belated merry x-mas and happy new year – I have a few goodies for you on the boat – two boxes of chocolate in the top opening fridge, and a copy of the Boatowner’s Electrical and Mechanical Handbook for Greg. Thanks again for all the help during the year!
• Food to clear – there is a bit of food to clear on boat, the cleaning team may want to take it: a chicken, a bottle of milk and half a melon in the fridge, plus all the food I have left in the saloon table. There is other food in the fridge, please leave the fridge on until I come back on Friday
• Laundry – there is plenty of laundry to pick up in the saloon + the bedsheets in the aft cabin. There are not in a plastic bag, apologies for that, it seems all my large heavy duty trash bags have vanished. It would be great if the team could pick it up and bring it to be cleaned
• Sheets hanging to dry – We left the sheets to dry yesterday on the port and starboard pushprit. Can you please pick them up and put them inside the after locker?
• Boat cover – Can we pls put the boat cover back?
• Spare plastic containers (2 or 3 baskets + 1 bucket) left in the saloon – We can propose them to whomever wants them among the team, alternatively lets dispose of them
Some repairs we can look at depending on staff availability (nothing critical in the list below):
• Fastmount fasteners: I have brought another 50 fasteners. The best time to get the carpenter to come might be in 1 week from now as the boat will be staying at the marina for 2 weeks without moving
• Electrical 1: The remote control for the swim platform doesn’t work anymore. I have changed the batteries in the remote control which seems to work, which means we have a problem with the receiver unit. It is located in a waterproof plastic box above the aircon compressor. If Somsak is available, can he have a look?
• Electrical 2: at the same time, if Somsak comes on board, can you pls have him have a look at the boom light, which hasn’t worked since the mast was stepped back on the boat.
• Front opening fridge: I would like to add 2 eyestraps to the bottle rack in the door so that I can retain them with shock cord. I have brought eyestraps and self-tapping SS screws that may work for the job, and marked the top screw position on the door: basically the eyestraps have to be installed vertically, with the top screw 10cm above the bottle rack, and 4.5cm away from the rubber gasket horizontally. I suppose the self-tapping screw can be installed with just an electric screw driver bit. The eyestraps and screws are in a small plastic bag in the door of the fridge
I will be coming back on Friday from Bangkok.
