I wanted to inform you of Shogun's Science test score. He scored 21.5 out of 47. When I looked over his answers he left many of the questions blank, however of the questions he did answer, he was correct. I am worried that Shogun "rushed" his test so he could look for books in the library rather than asking for help. The questions he left blank were identifying whether or not an animal group is a vertebrate animal or non-vertebrate animal, are they cold blooded or warm blooded, and name one interesting fact about the animal. We have practiced these terms for each animal group and I use them in my everyday science language. Can you please reinforce with Shogun the importance of asking for help when he does not understand, especially if he does not know what the words say (language barrier). I will try to help him more in class to ensure that he is able to understand all of the terms needed.
