3.1. Effect of pH
The medium pH is a critical parameter in adsorption process as
it strongly affects the surface charges on adsorbent surface, the
degree of ionization and the speciation of sorbate species. pH effect
on adsorption efficiency (q, mg/g) and percentage removal (R, %) of
SR-BA and SBB-A onto EAB is depicted in Fig. 1. The maximum
adsorption of both dyes were achieved at pH 2 with qe values of
18.95 mg/g and 20.07 mg/g SR-BA and SBB-A, respectively. The
maximum percentage removal of SBB-A and SR-BA were 80.26%
