Here are some of Hui Shi’s statements taken from the Zhuangzi. They are often difficult to understand:
“The greatest has nothing beyond itself; it is called the great unit. The smallest has nothing within itself; it is called the little unit.”
“That which has no thickness cannot have any volume, and yet in extent it may cover a thousand li (= around ½ kilometer).”
“Heaven is as low as the earth; mountains and marshes are on the same level.”
