The length of root of carrot was significantly
influenced due to the application of different
levels of nitrogen (Table 2). The highest root
length (17.19 cm) per plant was found in N2
which was statistically similar to N1 (17.12 cm)
and N3 (16.70 cm) and the lowest root length
(15.39 cm) was recorded in N0. The root length
gradually increased with increasing level of
nitrogen. Sarker (1999) also found similar
results.
