E. crassipes had the highest significant rate of heavymetals in vegetal tissues with the exception for Cr andNi during the dry season and for Zn during both seasonswith no significant difference (p>0.05, n=9) amongspecies (Table 4). When each species was comparedbetween seasons, T. domingensis had significantlyhigher Al and Mn rates (p<0.05, n=6) during the dryseason and higher Cu and Fe rates during the rainy one(p<0.05, n=6). C. giganteus had significantly higher(p<0.05, n=6) Cu, Fe, and Ni rates during the dryseason, except Mn, which was higher (p<0.05, n=6)during the rainy one. E. crassipes retained the highestmetal concentrations during rainy season (p<0.05, n=6), with the exception of Zn, with no significant difference(p>0.05, n=6) (Table 4).
