Results, Discussion and Conclusion: The results of this study shown that the means of the
time of using ampoule breaker: RSU I for the opening the glass ampoule was 1.02 s and the
means of the time of using their hands for the opening the glass ampoule was 2.12 s (Table I)
Table1. The time for opening the glass ampoule about using ampoule breaker: RSU I and
using hands
No Time for opening the glass ampoule

(second)
1 1.02 2.10
2 0.98 2.08
3 1.01 1.66
4 1.10 2.45
5 0.99 2.30
means 1.02 2.12
From the table 1 shown that the means of the time for opening the glass ampoule by
using the ampoule breaker: RSU I less than the means of the time for opening the glass
ampoule by using the hands was 50 percent. And it also found that the purposive sampling
groups could open the 5 glass ampoules in one minute by using the ampoule breaker: RSU I
but they could open the 2 to 3 glass ampoules in one minute by using their hands. In this
testing, the purposive sampling groups weren’t had lacerations from the glass ampoule
shards.
The ampoule breaker: RSU I that was a prototype of a pilot project which had many
strong points. It was easy to use, used less time and prevented the injuries for the healthcare
workers. However the researcher will have the next evolution for the ampoule breaker to the
best project for real using in the hospital. Examples, the next study will collect the
information from the professional nurse, will test the ampoule breaker in In-Patient
Department and will develop the shape and the stable stand, etc.
