Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage has been arrested in New Orleans on one count of domestic abuse and one count of disturbing the peace, according to police records. Bond is currently set at $10,000 for the domestic abuse charge and $1000 for the charge of disturbing the peace.
It is still unknown when Cage, 47, will appear in court. As of Saturday afternoon the actor was still in custody.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, Cage was arguing with his wife in front of a home at 11:30 p.m. Friday on Dumaine Street in the city's French Quarter, insisting that the house they were in front of was their rental property, Nola.com reported.
Police said that Cage grabbed Kim by her upper arm and dragged her towards the property that he believed they were renting -- there were no visible signs of injury to Kim's arm.
