One Direction will never quite be the same without Zayn Malik (for obvious reasons), but Niall Horan says that the whole experience has actually made the rest of the guys stronger than ever. In fact, the singer confessed that they're "closer" together now.
"Towards the end you could see he wasn’t enjoying it as much, his heart wasn’t in it as much. There was never any arguments or disagreements, or anything like that, I think he just fell out of love with it in the end," Niall said, while talking to his friend Eoghan McDermott on 2FM.

"He had a couple of conversations where he had to make a few decisions I guess…if your heart’s not in it you shouldn’t really do it. He made that decision and he’s happy now, we’re happy and everything’s worked out. It’s actually brought us, the rest of us, closer together."
We're glad that Nialler can look on the bright side of things, especially when it comes to their former bandmate. It must have been hard to adjust to life as a quartet, but they've come out strong.
