THE REPORT OF ACTION RESEARCH
SCHOOL—MUNICIPAL HIGHSCHOOL
STD. 9(B)
SUBJECT—The problem of handwriting and spellings error with punctuation mark.
STEP-1 Identify a class problem,(pre-test)
The students of std-9(B) are very poor in their writing. Their spelling and the punctuation mark ,both are not well. They have lots of errors in their writing,
Handwriting also not good.
STEP-2 Formulate a Hypothesis.
If I use dictation and spelling game then I think they get the enough practice for
Spellings ,and writing and for punctuation. It is necessary to give them guidance that
which punctuation marks are used where? So, that they are able to know about all these.
STEP-3 Remedial Teaching (learning)
I gave them a task ,for writing. It is in the sequence and one paragraph for dictation
They done it. Then I explain the punctuation marks, and its usages in the classroom
Once again ,I give them a one task of dictation, it is dialogue with full of punctuation mark ,I also saw them a good handwriting of sincere student, and told them how to write
Effectively? For the 5 periods of time.(single 5 days.) I undertake the remedial teaching programme.
STEP-4 REPORT (POST-TEST)
Now, in the end, I got a nice response that now they are able to write well. and enough good handwriting also. Now they know about the spellings and use of
Punctuation mark, they grasp all these things in a right way, right manner, it is the
Nice improvement in their writing skill. I am satisfied with their written performance
Of post-test. So, I think, that it is successful for me and the students both.
