Racism, the assumption of inherent racial superiority on the part of certain races and the consequent discrimination against others, is a crucial issue confronting Christianity today. Since it is impossible to discuss here the race issue in World perspective, the material is confined to the Negro and white problem of the United States in light of Christian principles. So Christianity and race relations go hand in hand. God loves all races and as Christians we should have the same values. There is no room for racism in the faith. Christianity was built on the principles of love, hope and unity in Christ, regardless of color. When people focus on color, it is as a means to divide, when the love of God unites us in the faith.
