Kampung or kampong (Malay for "village") chickens are known to be leaner as compared to battery-cage chickens, due to the different rearing methods. Tender and less oily, the yellow-skinned boiled white (steamed) chicken ($3.80) compliments the fluffy rice, round rice grains. The well-flavoured rice has a nostalgic quality to it, enhanced by the mild ginger sauce, medium-thick black sauce, and a tangy and slightly spicy chilli sauce that won’t be out of place in even a rojak. The stall offers other dishes as well to satiate those with bigger appetites such as double-boiled soups ($6-$15) and stir-fried vegetables ($8-$10)
