Age hardening, or precipitation hardening, is a process to increase strength and hardness
of aluminum alloy by formation of fine precipitates. Because the fine dispersed precipitates can
get in the way of moving dislocation. This process can be done by 3 steps, including solution
heat treatment (SHT), quenching and precipitation heat treatment (or ageing) respectively.
According to the result of this experiment, we found that the temperature and time germanely
effected the amount of precipitation forming, which effect the strength of the alloy also.
