Results and analysis — Task II
The control group Some teams first used diagrams while others tried to build the real circuit without any drawn design. Then the teacher was called to witness the testing stage. Most teams did not succeed at the first attempt and asked for help. When the teachers/observers did not provide any clues, students verbally expressed their frustration. The general atmosphere of frustration continued until the end of the session. Some teams performed up to six trials with the real circuit and some gave up and stopped trying before the official end of the session.
