The U.S. anti-boycott laws prevent U.S. companies and their employees and controlled foreign affiliates from supporting the policies of countries or organizations that run counter to U.S. policies. Other countries such as Germany also have anti-boycott laws.
Under these laws, we can't support a boycott that isn't approved by the U.S. For example, if a customer in Qatar supports the boycott of Israel, we can't honor a request from them to refuse to do business with Israeli businesses, or any businesses organized under Israeli law.
We also must report any boycott-related requests we receive. Failing to follow these rules can lead to fines, criminal penalties, and commercial sanctions—for instance, denial of our export privileges.
