for our training and development initiatives and
programmes and successfully obtained PD in 2004 and
was re-certified in 2007 with a significant increase in
the scores.

Attract, develop and retain a pool of
motivated and competent staff
URN; achievements towards making Singapore a great
city to live, work and play in would not have been possible
without its passionate and committed staff. Through the implementation of various practices described in the
chapter on "People". we ensure that our staff are satisfied
with the staff benefits package. work-life practices and
healthy lifestyle and recreational programmes. We use tr1e
Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) to assess how satisfied
the staff are and how the various practices contribute to
this satisfaction.
Overall, tile results of the survey have been positive.
The findings show that URA is a healthy, dynamic and
forward-looking organisation. Our staff find their work
interesting and challenging, and are proud to work for
the organisation. Details of the survey are shown in
Figures 7.3.7 to 7.3. 10.
