Radar Device
RADAR was originally an acronym for radio detecting and ranging.
The radar set is an electronic device that can detect distant objects and yield information about the distance to that object.
Modern radar sets can be land-based, ship-based, aircraft-based, or spacecraft-based. They are used for weather tracking, air traffic control, marine and aeronautical navigation, ground mapping, scientific studies, velocity measurement, military"applications, and remote sensing from outer space.
The basic principle behind radar is simple: a short burst of RF energy is transmitted, and then a receiver is turned on to listen for the returning echo of that pulse reflected from the target.
