Kid’s wear is getting more colorful. After a successful collaboration with Gap, Kate Spade & Company CEO Craig A. Leavitt announced during an earnings call Thursday morning that Kate Spade will launch a children’s collection sometime this year.
“Recently we saw early promising in children’s wear, including our collaboration with GAP Kids for the holiday season and we are excited for the debut of the Kate Spade New York children’s wear collection in the next few weeks,” Leavitt said on the call.
The wildly popular limited-edition children’s collection with Gap was released during the holiday season, and featured clothing and accessories for girls and boys, retailing from $20 to $130. There was no word on what the company’s own kid’s collection would look like, and Kate Spade did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
