To analyze engine performance indicators for the tractor in
ploughing work, two ‘‘ECU Load Profile’’ histograms were recorded.
The first histogram was recorded before making the test of ploughing
process. The second histogram was recorded after the test of
ploughing process. The histogram of analyzed ploughing process
was obtained from ‘‘ECU Load Profile’’ histogram by taking difference
between histogram recorded at the end of the test and the
similar one recorded before the test. By using calculation methods
[18,31,38], engine performance indicators and exhaust emission
characteristics for the tested tractor working process were calculated.
By knowing the engine speed, cyclic fuel injection quantity
and engine operational time t at particular engine speed and cyclic
fuel injection quantity mode m, we can calculate fuel consumption
for that mode Bm (kg) and the hourly fuel consumption for that
mode Bd (kg/h):

Here n is the engine speed, rpm; bc is the cyclic fuel injection quantity,
mg; ic is the number of engine cylinders; tm, nm and bcm are the
engine operational time at particular mode, engine speed and cyclic
fuel injection quantity correspondingly.
By knowing cyclic fuel injection quantity for particular engine
mode bcm and specific fuel consumption bem, we can calculate the
torque (N) for that mode.
