Living Green Cameroon is a grassroots non-profit Common Initiative Group (CIG) founded in 2010 with a Mission to bring awareness on socio-cultural ills affecting youths in our respective communities, and a Vision to make the world a better place via the following Objectives: Combat social-cultural ills affecting our youths as well as striving to ensure a future free from social malice including; HIV/AIDS, Unemployment, Juvenile delinquency etc. The group relies on member’s contribution and local donations to run her affairs. We submit this letter in regards to our upcoming project titled: HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention, scheduled for 1st Dec 2013, to last for 3 days. This group founded in 2010 operates community outreach programs and has a hand fold of success stores. Motivated by our past and most recent success stories, we now look forward to an upcoming project. The project will run on an estimated budget of 550,000 CFA an equivalent of 1,136.60 USD, the project will cover the population of Kumba in the South West Region and her environ.
The project for which we request support will make a great difference in our respective communities in regard to Ignorance and Negligence of HIV/AIDS. The project will also create and ensure a platform to enable youths to regularly access basic information on HIV/AIDS and as well getting more youths involve in the fight against HIV/AIDS while promoting gender equality with same attention to disable youths. The project will be accomplished via Door to door sensitization Organizing TV and Radio Programs, Visit to schools, Prepare and distribution of educational material on HIV/AIDS, Having pears to pear conversations HIV/AIDS prevention, Distribution of HIV/AIDS awareness T-shirts, and Distribution of male and female Condoms.
The project success will be determine by the number of youth who will turn up for HIV test, local condom vendor sales will be compared from previous sales, the growing number of youth becoming involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS, people going public about their status, no shame of being HIV Positive, clinics and hospital records will be use to determined the rate of new infections.
