The United States Code of Federal Regulations defines
Various food qualities
must be analyzed as a function of time in order to evaluate the
loss of food quality. However, real time shelf life tests for shelf
stable food products can be very time-consuming. To reduce the
analysis time, accelerated shelf life testing methods have been
developed (Charlotte, Wadso, & Sjoholm, 2005, Labuza & Schmidl,
1985, Reid, Kotte, Kilmartin, & Young, 2003).
