This is a wonderful fragrance - AT FIRST. I do get seaweed (in a good way) and the freshness mentioned by others including some balsamic notes which harmonize well together. This wonderful scent lasts for about a good hour - just enough time for me to seriously consider a full bottle... HOWEVER, the dry down begins immediately after - like crash landing onto the surface of a Pure Sport deodorant stick - and with this, especially in regards to the etherial aquatics and perfectly blended woody notes from before, a final nail in the coffin for me. I can't get past the Old Spice at this point and I hate every second of it. After another hour of wearing this I have to wash it off. PURE SPORT, PURE SPORT, PURE SPORT. Save your $200.
I will point out that Costa Azzurra is unique in the Private Blend blue sub-collection. Opting for Neroli Portofino or Mandrino diMalfi won't give you the same woodiness of Costa Azzurra. That said, those don't smell like a deodorant stick you can go buy for $3 either.
