Headlights and Auxiliary Lights
Preview Passing lights
Up to two passing lamps may be used to supplement a vehicle's low beams; they may also be used with the high beams.
Preview Driving lights
Up to two driving lamps may be used to supplement a vehicle's high beams; these may not be used with the low beam headlamps.
Preview Fog lights
Up to two fog lights may be used to supplement a vehicle's low beams, but not be used as a substitute for them.
Preview Multiple beams
Drivers of vehicles equipped with combinations of headlights and auxiliary lights may arrange their lights so that they can automatically select which to put on for optimum illumination.
Preview Single beams
Any vehicles manufactured and sold before 9/19/40 may be operated at night with headlights that form a single beam, when not supplemented by auxiliary lights, as long as that beam can reveal a person or vehicle 200 feet away
