In the simulation, we simulate on data sets with 10-mininute timeslot interval and use wind energy as renewable energy source. The charging period is 24 hours, which means 144 timeslots. Real wind speed data are taken from [19] and are converted to wind energy generation with 10-mininute granularity, based on the specifications of the Vestas V800 2000 kW offshore wind turbine, Fig. 1. Three wind energy generation samples are used to evaluate the algorithm performance on different wind generation patterns. Extra energy from the grid is purchased at 10-minute average real-time market prices γ(t) for the Capital area from New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) [16].
