The agricultural workers department in Kav LaOved – Worker's Hotline is hiring a Thai-speaking fieldworker for the Tel Aviv branch.
Requirements:
1. Commitment to human rights issues
2. Fluency in the Thai language (spoken, written, and reading comprehension)
3. Very good to fluency in English and Hebrew
4. Communication skills
5. Interpersonal skills
6. Knowledge in workers' rights and labor law in Israel is an advantage.
Job description:
1. 50% employment (based in Tel Aviv and outreach throughout Israel)
2. Answering the telephone hotline and responding questions in Thai
3. Attending to Thai workers during weekly Wednesday reception hours
4. Traveling throughout Israel to meet workers at the workplaces to answer questions, give lectures, empower workers, etc.
5. Supporting a new project to unionize agricultural workers via intense outreach work throughout the country and high availability over the phone
6. Start date: Immediate
