Where documentary evidence is required by law, on oral evidence shall be admissible, even with the consent of the adverse party, either in lieu of documentary evidence, or ,where a document is produced, to supplement or contradict the content thereof.
Provided,however,that oral or other evidence may be admitted where the document relied upon by a party cannot be produced owing to the loss or destruction thereof by force majeure or to some other material impossibility
And provided further that the provisions of this section shall not affect the right of a party to prove by oral or other evidence facts which may render the document not binding upon him.”
