In this study, we tested the following hypotheses:
1. There was a statistically significant difference in the level
of the stress visual analogue scale (stress VAS) scores of
women who receive relaxation training compared with
those in the control group.
2. There was a statistically significant improvement in
physiological stress by measuring finger temperature in
women who receive relaxation training when compared
with women in the control group.
3. Women who received relaxation training exhibited a
significantly greater decrease in the state subscale of State-
Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-S) scores over time than did
women in the control group.
4. Women who received relaxation training exhibited a significantly
greater decrease in the Perceived Stress Scale
(PSS) scores over time than did women in the control
group.
5. Women who received relaxation training exhibited a
significantly greater decrease in the Pregnancy-related
Anxiety (PA) scores over time than did women in the
control group.
