RICK and RAT are walking through the buzzy streets, at an urgent, agitated, pace.
They are arguing over what Mr Hadleigh-Brown wants for his £500. RICK thinks it’s obvious he want to have sex, while RAT says that’s ridiculous he just wants a bit of company. He’s
just a lonely old softie needing somebody (ie RICK) to be nice to him. RAT says they have no option but to find out what he wants and take the risk. There is no possibility under any circumstances to phone home for money, he will be killed by
his father. RICK refuses point blank. He will not do anything with MR HADLEIGH BROWN not even go out to dinner with him. RAT accepts this decision, but says they have to go back and beg him to lend them the money anyway.
