Assignment of proteins according to functions, cellula rcomponents, molecular functions and biological processes
Proteins whose levels of abundance changed significantly were analyzed using the gene ontology classifications provided by the Rice Genome Annotation Project (http://rice.plantbiology.msu.edu/) (GOSlim Assignments) and assigned to a hierarchical cellular component, molecular function and biological process using the Web Gene Ontology Annotation Plotting tool (WEGO, http://wego.genomics.org.cn) (Ye et al., 2006). GOSlim information wasavailable for 80 and 76% of the differentially regulated proteins identified in the phloem samples from the susceptible and resistant rice varieties, respectively.
